to the Winter Board Meeting/Palomar District Meeting on beautiful Mission Bay .

The CGCI Board of Directors holds a a meeting each year winter to conduct the business of CGCI. But the weekends aren’t just filled with meetings. The schedule is designed to allow plenty of time for attendees to network, exchange ideas and “grow.”
The location of this years winter meeting, on beautiful Mission Bay right next door to SeaWorld but within the arid landscape of San DiegoCounty, is the perfect venue to take a close-up look at the opposit forces that influence all life in California: “Fire & Water.”

The populated areas of Palomar District are affected by the ocean, the climate it creates and the resources and opportunities it makes available. The population, in turn, effect the ocean. But even though all the ocean’s water sits right off-shore, San Diego must import 95% of its “potable water.” On top of that, the region has suffered severe fires in recent years. These issues affect gardeners not only in Palomar District but also gardeners throughout the state. Expert speakers have been selected to help us better understand how the complex issues at work here affect all of our lives and will suggest strategies we can employ to secure our future and what part CGCI should take to be a “force for good.”

Join us for a great weekend on beautiful Mission Bay seeing new places, learning new things, meeting new people from around the state and have a whole lot of fun.
